I'm tired.

I had a busy week getting things wrapped up at work and things packed up to bring with me. I slept pretty well last night, despite the excitement, but not long enough. I got up at 4:00 to catch the train at 6:10.

The trip has actually gone very smoothly. As I write this I'm near the end of the Chicago-to-Kalamazoo leg of the trip. We just left Niles and should get to Kalamazoo in about 40 minutes. I didn't try to do any work on the laptop until this point, just because of a lack of energy. But my brain has fuzzed up to the point that I can't read anything, so I figured I might as well do a journal entry. (That analysis demonstrates the state of my mental faculties pretty well, I think.)

So, I'm tired from lack of sleep, restless from too much time spent sitting in trains and train stations, and just a bit anxious about what's to come at Clarion. But I know what to do. I'll spend some time visiting with my family, go to bed early and sleep late, and then go to Clarion and write fiction.
