I had gotten some good writing done over lunch on Monday. I had a real handle on the Bookstore story--I knew where it was going and a lot of how it was going to get there. I was too busy to do more on Monday night, but I knew I'd have all of Tuesday night free, because Jackie was going to be at a Spinners & Weavers guild meeting.
I brought my laptop to work again on Tuesday. But I didn't use it.
Word of the terrorist attacks had just started to come in as I drove to work. But enough was known by the time I got there that they had set up a TV in the lunch room. I stopped and watched for a long time without even taking my stuff up to my cube.
I didn't get much work done on Tuesday, either at the day job or writing. I got some more work done at work today, but still no writing.
I'm up writing this very, very late. I slept poorly and ended up getting up and watching the news for a while. I think I'm ready to get some sleep now, though.
