Well, I finished a major rewrite of the Insurance story. It's still not right, but I'm not sure what the problem is now. I'll sit on it a day. If I can figure out what to do, I'll do another rewrite. Otherwise I'll send it on to the critique group and see if they can suggest any great ideas.
I started a new story today, writing just a few lines over lunch. I think it will be a short-short, so I may be able to dash that off very quickly, once I'm done with this one.
I've been doing a pretty good job of getting my writing done, even when I haven't gotten the details into the journal. I wrote all evening yesterday. I don't have an accurate count of new words, but it's 1600 words longer, despite my having cut out at last 1000. So I'm generating new text well enough.
I've also been doing okay with the lifting, although not with the running.
It's been fun to be able to show off Bones of the World at work. I've gotten lots of congratulations. It's nice to have something tangible come of my work.
It's fall here, cool and grey and damp. A couple years recently we've had very warm weather last into November, but this year the weather is more seasonable. Some days its warm enough that a jacket is optional, but it's been a while since it was warm enough to go for a run in shorts and a t-shirt first thing in the morning. I didn't go for a run the last time it was warm enough, but I like to imagine that I would, if it were warm enough.
