Got a personal rejection from Stanley Schmidt that said (after rejecting the story), "I rather like your style of writing and suggest that you try us again." That's about as good as a rejection can get, I guess.

The story won't get back out into the mail tomorrow, though, because I'm leaving for Finland tomorrow. I'll be back in a few days and I'll get the story right back out into the mail again then.

I probably won't be able to update the journal while I'm gone (not that I've been updating so frequently anyway).
