I made yet another stab at the first scene of the mummy story, based on my new understanding of how it goes. I'm pleased enough. This is the scene where the hero's failure becomes manifest. Now I have to write the new middle stuff, where the hero struggles and comes almost to the point of success. At least, that's how it see the story now.
