As recently as a couple of weeks ago, if you had told me that the government would arrest a US citizen on US soil and then throw him in prison and claim that they could keep him there indefinitely without access to a lawyer, without charging him with any crime, and without any sort of hearing where they have to present evidence that he's either committed some crime or is mentally ill and dangerous, I simply wouldn't have believed you. It's so clearly unconstitutional that I can't believe the government thinks they can get away with it.
