I spent most of the day writing, for the first time in quite a while. It's the new story I started on the first. I got about 1000 new words written, which is pretty good.

Aside from that we didn't do much: grocery shopping, got the car washed.

Last night we watched Kurosawa's "The Seven Samurai," which is as great a movie as everyone says. I haven't yet tried to analyze the story structure, but it certainly works as it is. Soon, I suppose, we want to watch "The Magnificent Seven." I'm intrigued to see what structural changes were made for an American version.
