Jackie did laundry today, meaning that the bed needs to be made before we can get into it. I suggested that she make the bed while I write my journal entry, but she didn't seem to think much of that idea. Then I suggested that I make the bed and she write the journal entry. She said okay, but apparently she was just kidding, because she's not here. So, I guess you get an entry from me after all.
I finished the rewrite I was working on. Steven's going to read it yet and he may have a comment or two, but it's basically done. With any luck, it'll be off to editors by the weekend. This is very nearly the first story I'll have submitted since the batch that came out of Clarion. There have been a couple of others, but they were both small, one-idea stories.
A step in the right direction.
Now it's time to write something new. I have an idea I was struggling with a while ago, where I think I've figured out what I was doing wrong. That may be next.
I went for a run today after work. What with traveling and having visitors, it was my first in more than a week. It went okay, though. In fact, I went out pretty fast at the start of the run (because of threatening rain) and finished in my best time so far (or nearly).
We have been lifting weights--we're not total sloths.
I'm going to Copenhagen. It's another UnPlugFest, so it'll basically just be a week of working hard all day sandwiched between two long days of flying, but I should get to see a little of the city. I'd thought to take Jackie with me, but cheap airfares were not to be had.
