Bitter cold. The temperature is already down to 0°F and is heading down to -5. It was cold enough today for me to wear my Alaska pipeline surplus coat. (Made for workers on the pipeline. It's like an expedition parka, but has an over-sized hood (so you can fit a hardhat underneath it) and a white patch on the pocket so you can stencil your name so foremen can yell at you.) It's not often cold enough to wear this coat, but I'm glad I've got it.
Still busy at the day job. Busy to the exclusion of everything else, actually. But, I'm being successful at my tasks, so that's good.
No time to write, and I don't really foresee any for some time. I've still got three stories out, though, so I feel like I'm keeping my hand in.
Jackie is taking very good care of me. She's fixing dinner late so I've got a proper meal when I come home. She's making me lunches to take to work so I don't have to take the time to go out. She's pretty much running the whole household, so all I do is get up, go to work, come home, eat dinner, and go to bed. We have been getting to the Fitness Center almost three times a week. We've decided that -5 is too cold for working out and are planning to sleep in tomorrow. Maybe until as late as 7:00.
