Went for a run today. I ran in the middle of the afternoon, taking off from work around 3:00 and then running 3.31 miles in just under 40 minutes. That's an 11:48 pace. Took a shower at the office and then got back to work. I stayed late, but not as late as the past two days.

I checked my notes, and it looks like I didn't run as far as 3 miles last year until early July. So, I'm almost 5 months ahead of where I was at this point last year.

It was my first outdoor run in weeks. It felt so good.

Work is still work. Still no writing. Thinking about it more and more, though. It's becoming distracting. Maybe I'll clear some time for writing this weekend (along with work, buying new shoes, and tidying up the study/guest room/bicycle storage shed).

Did get a few minutes to read and started Cory Doctorow's Eastern Standard Tribe, which is off to a great start.

It's warm here, up over 30°F, and supposed to get warmer. The snow is melting. I am so ready for spring. This isn't it, but it's close enough for now. After a couple days of semi-warmth, I'll be able to face the last few weeks of winter.
