Gee, two journal entries in a row. It's been a while since I managed that.
I'm writing again! The bookstore story is at 1610 words now. I don't know how many new words that is, but it's slightly closer to an accurate indication of how many words there are, as I've integrated about a page from a previous draft into the current draft. There's a couple more pages that will also get pulled in.
Besides that writing, I spent a little time working on one of the very few pre-Clarion stories that I still like well enough to send out. I had rewritten it shortly before I went to Clarion, and do I still like it, but it needs more work than I'd thought. I'm thinking of it as a possible Writers of the Future submission, but there's a lot of work to be done in the next week if it's going to work for that.
I'm glad to be writing again.
I did get my story back in the mail today, so I do still have three stories out.
My mom is, presumably, on the Lakeshore Limited, zipping along toward Amherst. She's probably in Ohio by now.
