I'm working on a new draft of my story with the POV character swapped. I think it's working much better this way. I've got about 400 words of my new draft. More important, I know what happens next.
This isn't the first time I've changed POV characters in the middle of writing a story. In fact, I do it quite a bit. I don't think it's just a matter of always picking the wrong POV character. I think it comes of discovering the story in the writing. Sometimes, when I don't know how the story goes, I just start writing it. Sometimes when I do that, the second character I think of is more interesting than the first.
In honor of the new Clarion class, I wore my MSU t-shirt today. I've been enjoying the journals. I added a link to my Writing Progress page.
