Work on the film is about as far along as I can take it on my own. Next I need to get a couple people (either cast members or other volunteers) together and do some practice runs at some of the scenes I want to capture. I want to make sure I can capture the shots I want smoothly and efficiently before I get the whole cast together.

I had an idea for a short story today. As often happens, what came first was the science-fictional part, but this time it came along with a guy with a problem. And, it's the sort of problem a hero can solve. So, it has the makings of a happy, upbeat story--something I don't write as often as I'd like. It still needs some thinking about the middle, but it's as close as I ever get to having a story idea appear full-blown in my head.
