Writing group meeting today. Got some good feedback on the story I just wrote. Critiqued one other story. Caught up with the other members--we've been meeting so rarely there's lots of news at each meeting.
I got my bicycles out and took each one for a short test ride, just to make sure they were working properly. I don't think I'm going to try to ride to work tomorrow, but I've got my sights set on Tuesday.
We lifted weights this morning. I could tell when I was riding, even on that short ride. Clearly I'm going to have to do some compromising if I want to lift and ride regularly.
On the drive home yesterday we were listening to an oldies station that was playing "feel good" music. I couldn't quite make out the words on one song. The best I could manage was "We're goin' to the tractor pull of love." (Jackie tells me that it's "goin' to the chapel of love.") It sounds like a promising story title to me, but nothing came to mind.
We watched "No Such Thing," which was funny in places, but never quite managed to get an actual story together. Nice scenes of Iceland, though.
