I have a new computer. I bought one of the new G5 iMacs, one of the ones that looks like just a flat screen, except there's also a Mac in there in the screen. I got the 20-inch one. There's nothing like lots of screen real estate.
I'm mostly moved over to the new computer. In fact, I was confident enough that I went ahead and put the old computer in the corner. Just now I've got it set up again, in a kludgy temporary fashion, because I discovered that my submission tracking database didn't get moved over properly. (Now that I poke around at it, though, I don't think that's the problem. It's something to do with the way I've configured mysql, I'm afraid.)
I was on jury duty this week. Served on a criminal trial. Found the defendant guilty, which was no fun at all. More jury duty next week.
Day job all okay. (Jury duty only took a day and a half this week.) No writing to speak of, except that I'm working on scripts for fake ads promoting Esperanto. I'm happy with my first one.
